Brand: Palm Angels

Season: Fall/Winter 2021

Buy: SSENSE

Editor's Notes: If there ever was a luxury label built for lounging, it's Palm Angels. Francesco Ragazzi's California-obsessed imprint is once again taking it easy for FW21, loosening up its new apparel's silhouettes for maximum ease.

It's easy to forget that we're still in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic sometimes, given how long the world has been coping with the crisis. Palm Angels is pushing to de-stress with easy, loose silhouettes. Winter is cozy szn, after all, so it's the perfect time to stretch out and take it easy, perhaps while smelling like a cactus.

HUGE fuzzy coats, supersized sherpa truckers, and XL sweaters are very much the move, given that we're still eating like we're in lockdown (maybe that's just me). Palm Angels' trademark tracksuit is revamped into a tailored suit, truly toeing the line between lounge and eveningwear. Where is that line now, anyways? It's basically all the same.

This mix-and-match ethos is epitomized by blazers that have all the inherent ease of a coaches jacket or hoodie, cut wide and finished with adjustable drawstrings. Throughout, distinguished pieces like these mingle with more familiar Palm Angels pieces, like Western-inspired chore coats (finished with ample fringe) and slightly macabre spin on its teddy bear graphic.

There are actually loads of matching sets, executed in patterns of broken paisley or duck camouflage to encourage effortless coordination. Toss a giant wool coat or woven beanie on top and, boom, you're ready for winter. Mix and match silver "Palm Angels"-branded necklaces and eyewear to taste. Just don't think too hard about it.
