Nintendo has announced a new Paper Mario game coming to Switch. Paper Mario: The Origami King is scheduled to release for the gaming system on July 17.

Today we receive our first look at the Nintendo Switch Paper Mario game via an announcement trailer. While there was overall excitement for the new title initially, it quickly subsided as fans began to watch the preview.

In The Origami King, Gamers will join Mario and his new partner, Olivia, as they battle evil soldiers, repair the damaged landscape, and try to free Princess Peach from King Olly. Luigi is also on board for the adventure, teaming up with Mario to rescue a folded Princess Peach.

Princess Peach isn't the only character King Olly has turned into origami, however. Bowser's minions have fallen victim to the same fate, ultimately influencing him to partner with Mario and Olivia.

Now that you have the overall backstory, you can check out the Paper Mario: The Origami King trailer below. Underneath you will see how fans are reacting to the new Nintendo Switch game.
