Editor’s Notes: After being teased and rumored for a while, we now have official confirmation that Paris Saint-Germain and Jordan Brand are releasing a co-branded collection.

The collection comprises two Air Jordan sneakers — a Nike Air Jordan V and Air Jordan I — a Nike PhantomVSN football cleat, two Jordan Brand PSG jerseys, and various street-ready pieces of apparel.

Depending on whether you’re more of a basketball or soccer fan, the collection’s highlights will differ from person to person. However, it's clear that both Jordan Brand and PSG have put a lot of thought into the capsule.

Both the footwear and the apparel collections are predominantly black and white with hits of red for a pop of color. Each product features a special version of Paris Saint-Germain’s crest, switching out the Eiffel Tower for the Jumpman.

While maybe a surprise to some, the Jordan x PSG collaboration has been brewing for some time and makes sense for two big reasons. First, Jordan Brand is owned by Nike, which produces PSG's kits, making this a natural extension of that partnership. In addition, Jordan Brand’s presence in Paris has been growing by the year thanks to events such as the Quai 54 World Streetball Championship and Michael Jordan’s first visit to the city in 1985.

Speaking about the partnership with PSG, His Airness himself commented, “Jordan Brand and Paris Saint-Germain share a distinct position in sport and style, so to partner with the club is a natural fit.”

NBA All-Star and Jordan Brand athlete Jimmy Butler also shared his thoughts on the collection, saying, “I can’t wait to see PSG and my guy Neymar rocking the Jumpman. Every time I visit Paris, I feel like there’s more energy for Jordan in the city. Putting the Jumpman on PSG is going to take it to another level.”

In the run up to the release, some of Paris Saint-Germain’s top players took the time out to answer a Q&A about Michael Jordan, his brand, and the collaboration. Scroll through some of Neymar Jr. and co.’s answers below.

Neymar, if you can choose, what would be the three words you would choose to describe Jordan?

Neymar Jr.: Phenomenal, magic, irreverent.

What do you think of the Jordan-Paris Saint-Germain collection?

Neymar: It is perfect for Paris and for the Champions league games. I think this jersey makes us stronger, and more respected.

Kylian Mbappé: For a start, it's very nice. Secondly, it's significant too, because I think we're the first team to be kitted out by Jordan, so it's a big deal. We have a long history, we’re proud and we’ll try to do this jersey proud.

Marquinhos: I thought of the great goals that we have. For great goals, I want great things. I believe Jordan is a great man, a great value, so he will surely bring us luck.

You will be wearing this outfit in the Champions League, this aura is important for you; maybe Jordan will bring a little bit of magnitude to the team during the Champions League?

Neymar: It is a huge responsibility to carry Jordan’s name on a shirt, so we expect an excellent season for us, to be great Champions.

You are a champion. Jordan was a champion. What does this collaboration inspire in you?

Neymar: It’s normal. Two partners that are champions, both Paris and Jordan, so I really expect this connection gives us many titles.
