That Phoebe Philo-shaped hole in your soul could soon be filled after WWD reported the beloved designer is plotting a return to fashion.

It's been two years since Philo vacated her position as creative designer at Celine, a decision that led to much hysteria among loyal fans and press (always remember, it's just clothes, people!) The article states that various sources "on both sides of the Atlantic" have confirmed Philo is working on an essentials collection — said to be with an eco-friendly focus — and has already begun interviewing designers to work in her team. It's thought a role at couture label Azzedine Alaïa is a possibility, should she decide against setting up her own label.

In the past, Philo has been linked with positions at both Burberry and Chanel, but neither moves materialized. Thanks to her elegantly wearable work crafted from a female gaze, she has gone on to command one of the most ardent fanbases in all of fashion. Wherever she ends up, it's sure to be big news.

Stay tuned for further updates.
