The Classic Clarks Wallabee, Created Through PAF's Techy Lens
Everything that POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) touches is a technical, function-focused marvel. And you can expect its upcoming Clarks Wallabee to be the same.
Ahead of PAF’s Paris Fashion Week presentation on January 26, brand founder Dongjoon Lim took to Instagram offering a look at footwear he has in the pipeline with British footwear label Clarks.
Incoming is a pair of Clarks Wallabee mid-top shoes. But these aren't the same suede formal designs we associate with the Wallabee.
PAF has decked the shoe out in a sombre gray color scheme along with new stitching on the side. There is also a new-look sole unit popping out from below, however, the exact specs are currently unclear.
Once the PAF Fall/Winter 2025 presentation debuts on January 26, the full extent of PAF's alterations to the shoe will emerge.
And it's not just Clarks x PAF shoes arriving for the new season, there's also more On sneakers to come. Lim has shared photos of another On x PAF collaboration: a subtle reworking of their previous chunky Cloudmonster.
At first glance, there really isn’t much to distinguish between this new sneaker design and the original On x PAF collaboration (a slightly different sole unit and a new colorway the only notable changes). And there doesn't have to be.
Released last year, the first Cloudmonster sneaker was a skillful combination of PAF’s future-leaning technical gear with On’s sportswear expertise. And, as indicated by the fast sell-out times, the sneaker was well-received.
Equally well-received was its follow-up model, the Cloudventure, a more slim-shaped sneaker that followed the same recipe of having an asymmetrical build and subdued color scheme.
This new sneaker is PAF sticking to the design language it established with its first two On collaborations — because if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Whether it be Clarks Wallabees or sporty On sneakers, PAF's footwear collaborations are delivering its signature techy aesthetic.
