Editor’s Notes: Turning 50 never looked so good. Hot off the heels of PUMA’s announcement of two Transformers RS-X sneakers, the shoemaker is warming up its engines for the release of three colorways to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hot Wheels.

Going all the way back to the beginning, the “16” colorway is a throwback to Mattel’s first production line: the “Sweet 16.” For the other two colorways, PUMA tapped into the Hot Wheels' DNA for a blazing orange “Camaro” referencing the ‘68 custom edition racer and a gold-hued “Bone Shaker” for the 2006 Black & Gold Rodger Dodger die-cast car.

The collaboration drops on December 1 for a retail price of $130 per model. In addition, PUMA has created an apparel collection featuring track pants, a jacket, and a range of graphic tees.
