Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) and Jodie Turner-Smith star in Queen & Slim as two lovers on the run from the law. The movie serves as a fresh take on the Bonnie and Clyde story and, if the new trailer is anything to go by, looks set to be one of the best films of 2019. Watch above.

Penned by Lena Waithe (Master of None, Dear White People), the story follows Queen and Slim who go on the run after they shoot a racist cop in self-defense on their first date, becoming folk heroes as they do so.

Chloë Sevigny and Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers) also star alongside Kaluuya and Turner-Smith. Queen & Slim will serve as the directorial debut for Melina Matsoukas, a frequent collaborator of Beyoncé and Solange, and most recently the second season of HBO's Insecure. Blood Orange recently revealed that he wrote the score for the film.

Queen & Slim arrives in theaters nationwide this November.
