A Resurfaced Sex Tape Might Lead to R. Kelly's Indictment
A video depicting R. Kelly sexually assaulting an underage girl has surfaced and may soon lead to the musician's indictment, The New Yorker and CNN report.
The tape lasts just over 40 minutes and shows Kelly engaged in sexual activities with a girl who describes her body parts as being 14-years-old. CNN calls the content "clear and explicit."
Laywer Michael Avenatti, who represents a man described as a whistleblower against Kelly, stated, "My client knows the identity of the girl and R. Kelly. He identified the two of them on the videotape. He worked for and has known R. Kelly for decades and he met the girl on a number of occasions."

According to The New Yorker, a law-enforcement official has stated that an indictment is imminent based on the tape (and multiple previous accusations) and Kelly could be arrested soon. Since the airing of the Lifetime documentary Surviving R. Kelly, there has been renewed interest in the musician's alleged predatory behavior. Kelly has settled four lawsuits brought forth by women who have been named in public documents. For a full timeline of the abuse allegations against R. Kelly, head here.
