One of football's brightest young stars can add footwear designer to his resume, as Raheem Sterling has landed a collaboration with Clarks. The Manchester City and England footballer has touched up the iconic Wallabee for his upcoming release, applying a colorway inspired by his birthplace of Jamaica.

Sterling's Clarks Wallabee is offered in a bold khaki colorway, with an upper that pays homage to the year Kingston, Jamaica was founded, 1692. Another nod to the island nation comes in the form of its national motto, “Out of many, one people,” which appears on the inside of the tongue. Clarks' signature crepe sole has been dyed black to add another distinctive element to the shoe, as the Wallabee comes with two sets of waxed cotton laces and co-branded fobs.

Due out on September 3 through Clarks and size?, Raheem Sterling's Wallabees arrive as the 25-year-old athlete recently starred in the campaign for BAPE's new Clarks collaboration. His joint effort with the brand signals a crossover into the world of fashion, one that is often reserved for the upper echelon of professional athletes.
