Editor's Notes: If it ain't broke, don't fix it – unless you decide that whatever it needs to be bigger, of course. Hey, why not go supersize? At this point, we've oversized every piece of apparel imaginable, with luxury footwear tracking close behind. Acne's done it, Balenciaga, Versace, Gucci, Burberry, the full mile.

Chunky, oversized kicks aren't a playground solely kicked about in by high-end and luxury designer brands; however, as your everyday sportswear experts – Nike, adidas, Li-Ning, and the like – have shown their just as proficient and making statement sneakers.

Just how the choice is made to tackle such a creation differs across the board. Many choose to create an all-new beast, pulling bits and pieces from all corners of its production line for something that truly packs a punch – the type of footwear you'd find in Nike's ISPA line or over at YEEZY.

Others, such as Reebok, set their sights on what's already working, instead figuring out how to retool these favorites to satisfy their consumer's chunky needs. Case in point, the iconic Club C.

Within a fail one of Reebok's most celebrated silhouettes, the Club C has traditionally been a low-top sneaker with a pretty streamlined construction that's perfect for summer wear. It has been retooled previously to birth the Club C Double GEO that boasts a super thick sole, drastically altering the aesthetic of the shoe.

For its next trick, that first remix is upping the stakes with a vertical makeover, transforming it from a low-top to a mid. Although its "Chalk" coloring gives this a look more suited to the summer, its seemingly heavy traction makes it a great pick for winter wear.
