Reebok’s Most Iconic Sneaker Looks Wildly Different as a Moto Boot, Obviously
You don’t have to spend much time looking at the Kanghyuk x Reebok LTD Moto High boot to realize this isn’t your typical Club C.
The old-school tennis sneaker, normally dressed up in the simple white leather build associated with classic tennis shoes, has been wildly reinvented. I’m not even sure if it can be classed as a sneaker anymore.
Part of Reebok’s more premium LTD line, the shoe comes in a tall, hi-top build designed to resemble motorcycle boots from the ‘80s.
Covering the majority of its new, tall shape is a lightweight, molded lace covering imitating leather shrouds from motorcycle boots. This strip of fabric also acts as the canvas on which Reebok plasters its logo.
The distinctive logos continue onto the back of the boot where the South Korean fashion label Kanghyuk spells out its logo in bold font.
This strange Club C hybrid boot is available now for $385 — even the price tag is unlike your regular Club C. In fact, it's almost triple the price.
Something we picked up on recently is that Reebok is cooking right now. And by that, I mean the sportswear giant is bringing out noteworthy sneakers at its highest rate in recent history.
This week, it also debuted a collaboration with Engineered Garments and earlier this month it launched the Club C in a luxurious suede build. Oh, and that’s before we mention its bejeweled sneaker collab.
These hybrid boots are just the latest weird and wonderful sneakers to come from team Reebok.
