Rich the Kid and his team were attacked and robbed at gunpoint last night, as TMZ reports. Shots were fired while the rapper and his entourage were at LA's Westlake Recording Studio, where both Rich and Usher were recording at the time. Fortunately, everyone involved has been confirmed safe.

According to the statement made by the LAPD Sheriff's Department, three members of Rich's entourage were apprehended by three suspects who demanded they hand over their money and jewelry. They were physically assaulted, and as they left the scene one of the suspects began shooting. Police say “the shooting suspect has not been located or identified." Eyewitness reports say that multiple shots were fired, "possibly as many as 10."

Rich the Kid's team have confirmed he is "OK," and the assault victims were treated for minor injuries; no one was admitted to the hospital.

We have reached out to Rich the Kid to comment - we will update this story as further information emerges.
