Today, Dr. Martens debuted its new collaboration with Rick Owens. A followup to their initial release in March, the second drop consists of three footwear styles, each reimagined with a rock-and-roll attitude.
In other collaborative news, BEAUTY & YOUTH and performance footwear brand inov-8 have come together for a new take on the Recolite 190 sandal to get you through the warmer spring and summer months, while Alife is gearing up for a joint foray with Timberland, one that spotlights the 3-Eye Lug Shoe.
And last but not least, Nike is looking back to the year of the Cortez's birth with a special "1972" iteration expected to arrive in the near future.

Editor’s Notes: Rick Owens' pentagram lacing is back on full display, as the legendary designer will soon be releasing his latest collaboration with Dr. Martens. The lacing setup is once again featured on the 1460 Bex, which is now showcased in grey-colored suede. Also featured in the collab is a smooth black leather version of the 1461 Bex DS, debossed with Owens’ "Deeper Than a Mother's Tears" motif, as well as a custom take on the gladiator-inspired Gryphon sandal with elongated straps and an additional ankle strap.
Nike Cortez "1972"

Editor’s Notes: Nike is taking it back a few decades with this upcoming release of the Cortez. A nod to the year the iconic shoe debuted, the "1972" iteration is done up in a retro-inspired colorway, boasting an outlined Swoosh logo on the side and additional Nike branding on the tongue, heel, insole, and outsole. A reference to 1972 is then made on the heel and insole as well via a special "'72" insignia.

Editor’s Notes: Summer 2021 is the season of non-traditional footwear. BEAUTY & YOUTH is coming through accordingly with a sandal collaboration alongside performance brand inov-8. Designed to be worn before and after racing is the Recolite 190. To be honest, though, we think you can rock the stylish sandal pretty much anytime during the warm weather months. The pair arrives in an easy-to-match grey colorway, with debossed branding and bungee lacing.
Alife x Timberland 3-Eye Lug Shoe

Editor’s Notes: For its latest collaboration with Timberland, Alife has given the 3-Eye Lug Shoe a double-stacked midsole. The thickened low-top is optioned in two colorways, one being referred to as “Beef and Broc,” and another crafted from burgundy-colored leather. Each version of the shoe incorporates Alife branding on the heel and comes with rawhide laces.
