Double Tap to Zoom

It looks as if Rihanna is indeed planning on dropping her ridiculously anticipated ninth album (dubbed R9 by here fans). While the Bajan pop-senstation and mogul has been steadily clapping back at fans who are demanding the album, we've learned that RiRi actually spent Valentine's Day in the studio making our wishes come true.

On the day of love, Ms. Fenty shared a cryptic post to her Instagram Stories. A photo of a soundboard with "The Neptunes" blazoned on a screen, captioned "back in the STU." This teaser of a studio session with super producers, Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, is the latest development in the long saga behind R9.

Rih already teased the collab earlier this week at the Fenty collection launch at Bergdorf Goodman. In an interview with The Cut when asked about her Valentine's Day plans, the Bad Gal confessed, "I'm going to be in the studio. I'm so excited actually. I can't say who I'm working with, but it's somebody I've been wanting to work with him for a long time. Okay, I'll tell you: Pharrell."

Four years on from her last studio album ANTI, we’re still waiting for Rihanna's next album, but now we've got a glimmer of hope. Click here for everything we know about R9 so far.
