Roots / OVO

Canadian brand Roots and OVO are re-releasing their collaborative Calgary Varsity Jacket in celebration of Bob Marley Day. The garment originally launched last fall in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the 1988 Calgary Olympics.

The jacket is inspired by a vintage Roots Award Jacket made for the 1988 Jamaican Bobsled Team and their epic journey, as told in the classic film, Cool Runnings. Featuring a predominantly black, green and yellow color scheme, the outerwear is then outfitted with numerous patches referencing the 1988 Olympics and the Jamaican Bobsled Team.

The Roots x OVO Calgary Varsity Jacket will be available once again in limited numbers on February 6, exclusively at Roots Chinook in Calgary (6455 Macleod Trail Street) and Roots Robson in Vancouver (1001 Robson Street).
