Sacai
1 / 2

sacai and Nike’s popular double-everything collaboration continues with two new colorways of the co-branded VaporWaffle. Last week, sacai confirmed that “Dark Iris” and “Sesame” are set to join the collection, much to the delight of sacai x Nike fans.

Last year saw the release of four colorways — the black/white and red/white/blue in November and the yellow/green and brown/green in December. The sacai x Nike VaporWaffle was first unveiled at Paris Fashion Week.

Just like sacai’s previous Nike collaborations, the Vaporwaffle features a double-everything approach. The Chitose Abe-helmed brand has turned things up a notch for FW20/SS21, though, as the outsole is slightly skewed at the toe tip. A rather hefty midsole looks to split at the heel, giving the sneaker a deconstructed aesthetic as well.

How to buy the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Sesame” and “Dark Iris”

What the Internet Is Saying: It’s safe to say people are just as excited about these colorways as they were about last year’s colorways.

What We’re Saying: Following the four previous sacai x Nike VaporWaffle colorways (as well as the LDWaffle and Blazer Mid), we’re now gearing up to welcome two new colorways into the world. The “Sesame” and “Dark Iris” versions are slightly more fall-appropriate but will still be heavy favorites for drop of the week considering the hype the sacai x Nike collaboration carries.

Both colorways will be available via a sacai online and in-store raffle on April 27, followed by a wider release through Nike SNKRS on April 28. Check out a list of retailers below.
