SEGA Is Bringing All Your Favorite Genesis Classics to the Nintendo Switch
A bountiful selection of SEGA Genesis Classics (or Mega Drive Classics in the UK) is heading to the Nintendo Switch, the publisher announced yesterday. Watch the promo video up top.
The collection is scheduled to arrive this winter and features more than 50 classic SEGA games in both physical and digital versions. Naturally, retro favorites such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Streets of Rage are included, although, according to Polygon, they will boast upgrades from the original versions, such as online multiplayer, achievements, mirror modes, rewind, and save states.
This is the first time Genesis titles will be available to play on Nintendo's relatively new hybrid console. A similar collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One was released in May.
