What We’re Saying: Earlier this week we got our first look at Skepta's SK Phantom collaboration with Nike. Here we are days later, and the brand has officially unveiled the football boot, in addition to a new collaborative colorway of the Air Max Tailwind V, in a Dave-led campaign.

Dubbed the “Bloody Chrome,” the forthcoming Air Max Tailwind V accounts for Skepta's second collaboration on the silhouette. Both the Tailwind V and the Phantom boot incorporate similar design details, including a red butterfly print across the upper that points to the musician's exploration of creative metamorphosis. The chrome Swooshes and soleplate on the Phantom then reference the silver jewelry that is a staple in Skepta's wardrobe. Once again drawing from the cover art for his 2019 album, Ignorance Is Bliss, the heels of the Tailwind V and the Phantom are decorated with an eye-catching iridescent material.

With the new collab, Skepta becomes the first musician to collaborate with Nike on a performance football boot.

“I love the culture around football as much as the game; I'm really into the culture of football jerseys for what they represent. They represent ‘team,’” he said. “Going to matches is sick too. When you go to a match, you experience live people, live audio, all the things that the TV might miss ...you really feel it more than see it or hear it when you're there.”

You can look forward to the Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind V "Bloody Chrome" and SK Phantom football boot releasing on June 12.
