Like many rappers before him, Smokepurpp plans on switching up his moniker. In a new interview with Peter Rosenberg of Open Late, the Miami rapper shared that he wants to be known simply as Purpp. “I’m actually gonna change it to just ‘Purpp’ soon. I wanna drop the ‘Smoke’ out of my name,” he told Rosenberg. “People just called me ‘Smokepurpp’ or ‘Lil Purpp,’ but there’s too many lil’s, so I kind of just want to be ‘Purpp.’”
