Editor’s Notes: Sneakersnstuff will soon be following its recent Ultra4D collaboration with another joint effort alongside adidas. This particular project also includes Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi, as the trio has come together to release a collection of footwear and apparel, led by the Superstar.

The SNS x Kazuki Kuraishi x adidas Superstar arrives in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the iconic silhouette. To further mark the occasion, the collaboration is being called "Kinenbi," which is Japanese for “in celebration of” or “anniversary.”

Inspired by Kazuki’s Velcro adidas Adicolor project from 2007, the collaborative Superstar features interchangeable Velcro flower patches that can be attached to the upper.

“There have been a lot of Velcro iterations of sneakers lately. Every time we saw one, we thought of the version made by Kazuki. He made that as a tribute to Taro Okamoto," said Erik Fagerlind of SNS. "We wanted to celebrate the adidas Superstar 50-year anniversary by paying tribute to Kazuki. We are honored to have been able to work on this, our most sustainable collection to date, together with such a legendary icon as Kazuki Kuraishi”

Joining the Superstar are a Japanese organic cotton parka, knitted cardigan, organic cotton T-shirt, classic workwear pant, and recycled cotton beanie. The sneaker and parka will be available exclusively via raffle in the SNS app, while the remaining items are due to release on sneakersnstuff.com and at all Sneakersnstuff locations. Sign-ups for the raffle are from December 21 to December 27.
