Snoop Dogg & DMX's Verzuz Battle Was Dubbed the Best in the Series So Far
Snoop Dogg and DMX faced off in "the battle of the dogs" last night for the latest installment in the Verzuz series.
The virtual competition — which Snoop initially announced on Instagram, writing "I ain’t got no dogg in this fight ! Yes u do who u got." — was available to watch on Instagram and Apple Music.
Before this particular battle was announced, DMX previously challenged JAY-Z to a Verzuz contest in May. "I rather go against my arch-nemesis," DMX explained, referencing JAY. However, fans were immediately pleased upon learning of the clash between X and Uncle Snoop.
More than 500,000 enthusiasts tuned in to witness Snoop and DMX go head-to-head, as the rap veterans unleashed hit after hit. Fans were blessed with classics like Snoop's “Gin & Juice,” “Nuthin But a ‘G’ Thang,” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” while X came back with familiar favorites including “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” and “Party Up (Up in Here).”
