Today, we take a look at Snow Peak's latest collaboration with New Balance, as the Japanese outdoor brand has reworked the Extreme Spec R_C4 Mid for a second time. In other collaborative news, PORTER and Vault by Vans are prepping the release of their first-ever collab.
Fans of the Swoosh can look forward to yet another Dunk colorway coming soon, as the silhouette is arriving in a playful women's-exclusive colorway. Nike is also gearing up to bring back the Free Run Trail, one of its more adored models from the early 2000s.
And last but not least, performance brand HOKA ONE ONE has just dropped its eye-catching hiker, the TenNine Hike GTX, in a new dark colorway.

Snow Peak x New Balance Extreme Spec R_C4 Mid "Triple Black"

Editor’s Notes: For its third collaboration with New Balance's Tokyo Design Studio, Snow Peak has once again reimagined the Extreme Spec R_C4 Mid. This time around, the outdoor silhouette arrives in a stealthy "Triple Black" colorway, as the Japanese brand has updated the material construction from its first R_C4 Mid release in 2019. Premium cow leather is paired with CORDURA ripstop and a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane, while an ENCAP REVEAL midsole delivers improved cushioning. A Vibram outsole has also been implemented to allow for wear on various terrains. Lastly, a magnetic FIDLOCK buckle closure ensures your feet remain locked in, no matter the activity.
Nike Free Run Trail "Happy Pineapple"

Editor’s Notes: While Nike has remain focused on more high-tech running designs in recent years, the company has decided to bring back one of its beloved footwear innovations from the early 2000s. Set to return in the coming months is the Free Run Trail, in an enticing colorway referred to as "Happy Pineapple." The lightweight silhouette boasts a white suede outer shell concealing a lime mesh layer underneath. This in turn sits atop a speckled Free sole unit. In addition to the signature Swoosh logo, the sneaker is branded with a pineapple character on the tongues. Nike has yet to reveal when the Free Run Trail will officially return, but seeing as official images have appeared, it should be coming soon.
PORTER x Vault by Vans

Editor’s Notes: Vault by Vans and PORTER have teamed up for the first time ever to release a four-sneaker collaboration. The collection — which also includes a briefcase, wallet, and luggage tag — is led by the OG Old Skool LX, here showcased in a distorted checkerboard pattern and monochromatic floral print, and featuring a removable Sidestripe. Complementing the Old Skool are the OG Classic Slip-On VLT LX and OG Sk8-Hi Reissue VLT LX, both of which are offered in forest night/black.

Nike Dunk Low "Lemon Drop"

Editor’s Notes: Another day brings imagery of yet another Nike Dunk. This week the silhouette has surfaced in a women's-exclusive low-top variation, dubbed "Lemon Drop." The pair features a tumbled leather upper with suede overlays and a lemon peel-textured Swoosh on the side. The fruit theme is carried out further at the heel where an embroidered lemon appears, as additional Nike branding is implemented on the tongue, heel, and insole. It remains to be seen when the "Lemon Drop" Dunks will arrive, but reports are suggesting a release will occur this spring.
