Double Tap to Zoom

Rising pop/R&B crooner Steven A. Clark is gearing up for the release of his new album Where Neon Goes to Die, a record that could not have been more perfectly titled. It's neatly indicative of his sound, one that is very much informed by the maximal, decadent sheen of late '80s funk and electro without stooping to resurrect it outright.

It's a vibe that is expressed with equal aplomb in the new visual for album-cut "Feel This Way," a seductive piece of neo-soul produced by Boys Noize and Ape Drums. The Ariel Fisher-directed video finds Clark in the heat of a Miami evening, where the bright hues of club lights color the humid surroundings. Watch it below.

Speaking on the visual, Steven A. Clark told Highsnobiety in an email that “The video for “feel this way” is a visual representation of feeling young and in love with the moment. Freeing yourself of fear and pain and fighting to hold on to the that feeling.”
