Spanish streetwear and sneaker destination sivasdescalzo (SVD) has teamed up with adidas for a special collaboration that both celebrates the culture of Barcelona and pledges its support to the Catalan city's arts sector. In response to the adversity creative communities have faced in 2020, the duo has launched the SVD x adidas Forum 84 Hi and the Forum Movement.

The SVD x adidas Forum 84 Hi puts a new spin on a silhouette that made waves in the basketball footwear game when it first dropped back in the '80s. Fast forward to 2020, and the Forum 84 gets upgraded in premium white leather and textured suede details, with off-white, dark blue, and grey uniting for a still-retro aesthetic. Limited to 300 pairs, the 84 Hi arrives with custom packaging and a unique ID card which allows owners to access the SVD Forum — a digital interactive space that tells the story of the SVD adidas Forum 84 Hi and The Voodoo Dance Club initiative it is supporting.

Dedicated to keeping African music alive in Barcelona, The Voodoo Club is a Barcelona-based creative collective, as well as cultural diversity hub, venue, and club night. Established by The Voodoo Club and local creative Makuriya Camara, The Voodoo Dance Club project offers practical workshops, mentorship, and management programs, as well as helping to create and find jobs in dance for the city's creative youth. Money made through the SVD x adidas Forum 84 Hi sneaker release will be donated to The Voodoo Dance Club.

The Forum Movement is an initiative set up by SVD and adidas to drive culture and the arts in Spain. With the ultimate aim of revitalizing Barcelona's creative industry, the Forum Movement will support projects of local creators through financial aid. The first phase of the initiative takes the form of the SVD x adidas Forum 84 Hi release, which is up for grabs through a three euro donation raffle, the proceeds of which will go to The Voodoo Dance Club.
