Tekla's towels, bathrobes, and lounge gear epitomize the Danish company's stylish modernist design language. If you want to know what Tekla is all about, you only have to use your eyes: These are patient home goods dripping in pure aesthetic.

How to make towels look luxe? Shape them from sumptuous materials and dye them patient colors to match.

Tekla's new collection of heavyweight terry towels is inspired by Scotland's Hebrides archipelago, a series of staggeringly gorgeous natural vistas that imparted a sense of color to the Tekla team but also a notion of need. As in, what kinda towels would you need to enjoy a winter dip in Hebrides?

Being the northern tip of the United Kingdom, Scotland's not likely the first place you think of for a relaxing cold-weather swim (lows typically range around 30°F or so).

But Tekla's beefy towels were woven with the nippy climes of winter wading in mind.

Whether you're tough enough to bring them to a meet-up of your local polar bear club is up to you but they work to the benefit of even conventional wintertime bathing, itself a perpetual experiment in temperature control. I know I ain't the only one shivering my way outta the tub.

Tekla's crisp collection of meaty towels is intended to address that very conundrum.

And these are no mere towels, sheets, or bathmats. Tekla wove them of a 800 GSM organic cotton that's specially finished in Portugal to achieve the proper terry handfeel, with no expense spared.

For instance, the sized-up bathmats are "woven in Portugal with a 1200 GSM to reduce warp after washing," according to a press release.

That means luxury towels that bless your space for a long time. Collect a set or pick up a fresh accent from SSENSE and Tekla's web store on January 7 for €50-€120 (about $52-$124)

Tekla is the de facto maker of stylish home goods, having partnered with peers as tasteful as Birkenstock, Stüssy, AURALEE, and even Jamie XX to demonstrate the borderless appeal of its unimpeachable finery, from California to Japan to, yes, Scotland.
