Double Tap to Zoom

Precision. Performance. Efficiency. A triad of elements that breed excellence when joined together in harmony–– a status few ever reach. Returning for the second stop in our High Road series with TUMI, the international lifestyle and travel brand, again taps McLaren to showcase both brands’ profound focus on creating products and moments embodying these core attributes.

This time, we arrive in the burgeoning cultural hub of Singapore. As the backdrop for the most recent race in the international Formula 1 Series, which saw McLaren’s own Lando Norris secure a second-place finish, the dynamic city serves as a scenic playground to explore the world of TUMI | McLaren with Singaporean actress Carrie Wong as our guide.

Fresh off his podium finish, Norris passes the keys to a flux green McLaren Artura to a stoic Wong, carrying her statement TUMI carbon-fiber Expandable 4 Wheeled Carry-On and papaya-colored 60th-anniversary Just In Case® Tote. Up for the challenge, the international actress calmly accepts the gesture to take a ride, prepping us for a thrilling tour of her home city akin to the extreme racing display that only previously occurred.

Accuracy, adaptability, and performance are at the forefront of design for the international travel brand and the luxury supercar maker. Utilizing a technical approach, TUMI | McLaren infuses its line of backpacks, suitcases, crossbodies, and accessory kits with the same quality and craftsmanship employed in engineering some of the fastest vehicles on earth.

Perfect for those with an unquenchable thirst for adventure and discovery, the latest collection of travel gear from TUMI is designed to keep pace with quick adjustments and sharp turns that come with life on the go. Boasting aerodynamic designs, carbon fiber accents, and sleek silhouettes, the TUMI | McLaren collection gives products like the Velocity Backpack and Torque Sling the essence of a well-crafted automobile.

Snapping back as Wong travels around the streets of Singapore, we only catch a satisfying glimpse of the city’s scenery before it quickly enters our rearview mirror. While taking a joyride in a supercar isn’t typical, Wong’s idyllic disposition and tranquil approach to life give her the necessary steadiness to keep calm through it all.

Stepping out of the vehicle, Wong radiates with unabashed confidence. Unafraid to go the extra mile, Wong’s aura seamlessly syncs with the two brands. Intentional in every sense of the word, TUMI | McLaren made the proper choice in choosing Wong to take the lead.

In a flash, day turns to night as our circuit of Singapore draws to a close. As we join Wong in overlooking the brightly lit city, we can’t help but wonder how we arrived here so quickly–– maybe that’s just the way it goes when you’re maneuvering with F1 agility.

While we have to pump the brakes on this tour stop, the spirit of TUMI | McLaren races on to the next destination, meeting F1 in Sin City for its Las Vegas Grand Prix.
