Beginning August 30, The Matrix is returning to select theaters in celebration of the iconic film's 20th anniversary. The string of showings will account for the first time the movie is offered in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

“Bringing The Matrix to life in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos pays homage to the masterpiece that the Wachowskis created 20 years ago,” Doug Darrow, senior vice president of Dolby Laboratories’ Cinema Business Group, said in a statement. “Movie lovers will be able to see and experience unforgettable sequences like bullets flying in slow motion with the utmost detail – transforming one of the most iconic sci-fi films of this generation.”

The Matrix will be viewable for one week starting August 30 at more than 135 Dolby Cinema AMC locations. You can buy tickets at Dolby Cinema at AMC locations and online.

Starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Laurence Fishburne, The Matrix premiered in March of 1999. The influential sci-fi film went on to earn four Oscars in 2000.
