Jackson Robert Scott, Georgie from 2017's IT, stars in Nicholas McCarthy's new horror-thriller, The Prodigy. Today we get our first look at the anticipated picture, from the producer of The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

Scott portrays Miles, a promising young genius who begins to show signs of demonic possession, while his mother Sarah is then played by Taylor Schilling, as we see her innate tendency to nurture quickly turn into fear.

“When I sat down and read that script, for the first half, I was thinking, ‘Wow, this is [a] really interesting, and creepy, and twisted variation on the evil kid subgenre,’" director Nicholas McCarthy told Entertainment Weekly. “But then the script just went to this place that I couldn’t believe and that’s what made me go from, ‘Here’s a movie I think might be cool’ to saying, ‘Here’s a movie that’s gotta be made,’ because where Jeff takes the story is truly unexpected.”

You can look forward to The Prodigy landing in theaters February 8.
