Tinder has announced the roll-out of a new feature called "Festival Mode" that enables users to match with each other based on the music festivals that they're attending. In addition to racking up some new hookup prospects, Festival Mode also grants people access to "exclusive VIP upgrades, swag, and more."

“No longer are your connections limited to your campsite neighbors or whose shoulders you stood on during the headliner’s performance,” Tinder stated in a press release. “So put down your fringe boots and neon fanny pack because, thanks to Tinder, your festival game is now stronger than ever.”

The badges for the festivals featured on the "Tinder Tour" will be active three weeks prior to the start of each event. Participants include Lovebox, Parklife, Governors Ball, Hangout, Bonnaroo, Firefly, All Points East, British Summer Time, and EDC Las Vegas and Orlando. Looks like festival season got a whole lot sexier... This buzzy initiative is a partnership with AEG Worldwide and Live Nation.

While you're here, revisit our feature about what music industry insiders want out of the music festival experience.
