Tom Hardy is officially returning for the Venom sequel. The film's producer Amy Pascal told Fandango, “When you think of Venom, you’ll never be able to think of anyone but Tom Hardy sitting in that bathtub of lobsters. And once you saw Tom Hardy do this character, that’s all you needed to know.”

Hardy was already signed on for two more Venom films. Back in August last year he told Total Film Magazine, “We’ve signed up for three [Venom films], so it’s very much an open case.”

The film made a killing at the box office, even if it wasn't critically well received, and so naturally, a sequel was locked in. Pascal reassured fans that Hardy would be coming back. When asked whether Tom Holland's version of Spider-Man might appear in a Venom movie, she replied, “We have big plans for Tom Holland to be a part of everything.”
