In a tweet Friday night, Donald Trump insulted the intelligence of LeBron James and CNN's Don Lemon.

“LeBron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon," the president wrote. "He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!”

The Twitter outburst came after James appeared on CNN on Monday to discuss his "I Promise School" for at-risk kids opening in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

During the interview, James said that the president had “used sports to kinda divide us, and that's something that I can't relate to.” “Sports has never been something that divides people,” he continued. “It’s always been something that brings someone together.”

James made reference to Colin Kaepernick and Steph Curry who both have come under criticism from Trump, and said that “at times” the president uses black athletes as scapegoats.

When asked what would he say to Trump is he was face-to-face with him, James said “I would never sit across from him.”
