We're officially on the cusp of receiving more Nike x Union LA Jordan 1s, including a mash-up colorway combining the "UNC" and the "Blue Royal" — two of the OG Nike Jordan 1 colorways from 1985.

As with previous releases, Union LA has Frankensteined these two color combinations together. On the collar, black and navy “Blue Royal” paneling emerges, combined with the powder blue and white “UNC” colorway through a red zig-zag stitch.

It follows the template set by Nike and Union LA’s coveted 2018 collaboration, making two signature Jordan 1 colorways become one.

The new UNC/Blue Royal sneaker was unveiled on February 12 at an event held at the Union LA store. Next to it, was another unreleased Jordan 1 — combining the “Chicago” and “Shadow” colorways — rumored to soon be available via a cryptic website from Union LA.

That Chicago/Shadow Jordan 1 is reportedly going to be released on February 28. As for the UNC version, no release date has emerged yet.

But at least with Union LA confirming the existence of these two Jordan 1 colorways, we’re a step closer to seeing more AJ1s arrive from the duo.

One of the biggest sneaker collabs of 2018, fetching big numbers on the resell market, talk of a follow-up release has been rife for years. Leaked samples and rumored upcoming colorways have been doing the rounds on social media but without any official word coming from Union La.

Finally, Union LA is set to give the people what they want. And the timing couldn't be better, given that this year is the Jordan 1's 40th anniversary.
