Vans' Answer to Sweater Weather? Ultra-Cozy (& Elderly) Skate Shoes
Sweater weather has arrived, although it may be hard to tell with these random 80-degree days (but it's here!). Vans has prepared some new skate shoes for the season, which take cozy vibes to another level — the feet, basically.
The skate shoe brand has introduced a new version of its classic Slip-On, which features "sweater" uppers. Hang in there, I'll explain.
A fuzzy brown checkered material covers the Vans Slip-On, offering a new vintage-style take on the brand's iconic checkerboard pattern.
Another way to look at it? Vans' skate shoe stole your grandpa's swag...or at least his favorite, years-old sweater.
To be clear, I'm by no means complaining about the new look. It's a pretty stylish spin on the iconic Vans shoe and its beloved pattern, sure to be loved by the thrift masters.
In addition to the new but also old design, Vans maintains its skate-ready features and comfort, evident with the plush collar, grippy gum soles, and flexible upper.
Vans also offers its Old Skool skate shoes in the same patterned material called "Sweater Check Brown." Both the elderly Old Skool and Slip-on sneakers are available on Vans' website as we speak.
If you're more of a flannel season obsessive, Vans has a plaid, rave-worthy Authentic with your name on it as well.
Textured Vans ruled 2024, especially from the Slip-on department. The brand dropped several stylish versions, including fluffy houndstooth iterations, luxurious leather puffer collabs, and even pearled-out skate shoes.
Vans is ready to kick back and cozy up for the season like the rest of us.
