Virgil Abloh is the latest big name to climb aboard the HOKA ONE ONE (pronounced oh-nay, oh-nay) hype train after being spotted in Paris wearing kicks by the California running brand.

Big Virgil rocked the Stinson ATR 5 model in an aquatic-inspired tonal blue colorway that is complemented with yellow accents. Like most HOKA kicks, the shoe arrives with a gargantuan midsole composed of the company’s signature rubberized EVA foam cushioning, which is intended to stabilize the body when running. It's this detail, in particular, which appears to have piqued the fashion crowd's interest in recent times. See how Virgil pairs them up with some flamboyant pants by Dries Van Noten in the post below.

HOKA — a company founded by former Salomon employees — has burst out of the sports performance space in recent years, and already counts the likes of Kanye West and, erm, Gwenyth Paltrow as celebrity fans. Now carried in some of the world's coolest stores, collaborations with brands such as Engineered Garments have only added to its clout.

The Stinson ATR 5 is priced at $160 and you can buy them via the button that follows.
