Virgil Abloh and Jacob & Co. have come together to release a new jewelry collection called "Office Supplies." Adhering to the name of the range, the collaboration finds Abloh reimagining the paper clip by turning it into high-end jewelry.

The collection is a nod to youthful creation when paper clips were made into bracelets, chains, and other accessories. Here, we see the everyday item transformed into bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and money clips in 18k yellow, white, or rose gold.

“With jewelry design, not only is technical sophistication important, but also lineage. That’s the foundation for pieces with meaning,” said Virgil Abloh. “Jacob for me has always been innovative, particularly in the notions of merging design sophistication and the pop-culture emanating from the streets. That lineage is the foundation for these new ideas I have designed within fine-jewelry under the moniker of 'Office Supplies,' crafted by Jacob & Co.”

Each paper clip from the collection is engraved with “Office Supplies” to mark the collaboration, as the styles are made-to-order, with a six- to eight-week lead time.

“In my watchmaking and jewelry work, I have been operating at the upper ends of the spectrum, reworking high complications in watches and changing the way jewelry was perceived,” said Jacob & Co. founder Jacob Arabo. “To use something ubiquitous like the paper clip and transform it into a beautiful object was a real challenge. I am proud of this first collection and I can’t wait to see the reaction from our clients.”
