Our Picks from This Season's Key Luxury Wool Design Trends
Unless you’re based in sunny LA or Miami, we'll take a stab in the dark at it having now considerably cooled down where you are. And with winter climates comes the time to really start dressing and up your layering game with some fitting wardrobe additions. But in the fashion world, it's never as easy as simply rolling with warmer materials. Below, we've outlined the luxury wool design trends we're digging from Farfetch this season.
Leave it up to the online storefront of Farfetch to come through with one of the best selections of cozy trends for 2018. Home to high-end brands from Gucci, Burberry, and Prada to the likes of Balenciaga and OFF-WHITE, the London-headquartered e-commerce leader is a go-to destination for fashion's most in-the-know shoppers.
Based on its recent wool editorial, below we've outlined some of our favorite design trends among Farfetch's most cozy FW18 stock. Spanning coats, sweaters, and accessories, our selections below are made up of the loud, the steezy, and the pure class. Scroll on to see our pick of the trends.
Pattern Clash
It being gloomy out is no excuse for your ’fits to be reflective of that. Gucci, OFF-WHITE and Burberry are spearheading the pattern-clash pieces sure to turn heads on even the mistiest winter walk, with pieces like the wavy sweater and uber-distressed jumper below. And when it comes to steezy accessories, accessories, this Gucci wool, and silk blend scarf mixes flex logo designs on one side, and a tartan pattern on the other.
Graphics
If pattern-clash isn't quite your style, the graphic offering at Farfetch is another great way to go. We currently have our eyes on two Calvin Klein 205W39NYC pieces that best illustrate what we mean — a holidays-ready crewneck sweater and multicolor plaid jacket with an amazing fringed hem. To see out the year with a true statement, however, its never too late for that now-iconic Prada flames print — which has transitioned from summer-friendly bowling shirts to cold-weather ready scarves.
Elevated Basics
Neutral tones and tactile fabrics shout just as loud as graphics-heavy pieces, just in different ways. The pieces doing it for us at Farfetch right now include an all-white mock neck sweater from Sartorial Monk, muted check pants by Gucci, and a timeless camel wool Prada coat — each of which will still look good many winters from now.
