Wood Wood & Mizuno’s Classic ’00s Runner Is Dropping Again
Model: Wave Rider 10
Key Features: The tech'ed out Wave Rider 10 features a host of different materials and colors that give the sneaker a much older feel than its 13 years. Breathable canvas, durable mesh, and suede combine on the upper, which sits atop a EVA midsole that features VS-1 shock absorption technology.
Release Date: March 20 (Wood Wood), April 4 (globally)
Price: $180 / €160 / £140
Buy: Atmosphere/White, Wood Ash/Birch/Jet Black
Editor’s Notes: Copenhagen-based Wood Wood has teamed up with Japan’s Mizuno on a collaborative Wave Rider 10 that could easily become a modern classic thanks to the mixed-material upper and expert color matching. The sneaker was originally released in 2007 and features a busy tech’ed out upper that clearly channels the ’00s aesthetic. With ’90s style slowly fading out in favor of the more techy and experimental ’00s, Wood Wood and Mizuno have brought back this gem at the right time.
The Wood Wood x Mizuno Wave Rider 10 drops on March 20 at all Wood Wood retailers, before launching globally on April 4.
