woodwood spring summer 13 collection-31
1 / 35

Danish brand Wood Wood held their Spring/Summer 2013 show during Copenhagen Fashion Week yesterday. Inspired by the energy driven "Summer of Love" phenomenon that first took place in 1967’s San Francisco, with the hippies, and then in Great Britain around 1988 with rave culture and Acid House, the collection pulls elements from both movements, adding in Wood Wood's casual street/sportswear aesthetic.

The "Summer of Love" theme is further shown through the season's toned-down colors such as puce, brown, navy, white, army and grey, with hits of blue and yellow mixed with W.W.'s unique prints including distorted animal patterns, electric coloured florals and ethnic beads. The jackets are a stand out for us, as is the Eastpak bag collection. Also of note this season is Wood Wood first in-house footwear line, alongside a full women's range.

Look for these pieces to hit retail starting January 2013.
