Woolrich has partnered with 1% for the Planet to launch the Woolrich Outdoor Foundation, aimed at protecting and preserving the outdoors. Going forward, one percent of the brand's sales will be donated to various environmental projects that adhere to the foundation's core pillars.

With the Woolrich Outdoor Foundation, Woolrich is targeting urban space renewal, the protection of forests, and coastal maintenance. The urban renewal projects will be designed to benefit vulnerable and low-income communities. Furthering its commitment to combat global warming, the organization will allocate funds and resources to cultivating and conserving forests all across the globe. Additional funds and resources will then be dedicated to the coastal environment and the safety, health, and overall wellbeing of coastal communities and economies.

“Giving back to the people and planet that inspired and helped build our brand is important to us and that's why we are contributing 1% of our Direct-to-Consumer sales to fund impactful environmental projects through a partnership with 1% for the Planet," the foundation said in a statement. "Working together we can donate, volunteer, and actively provide service to protect and shape a brighter and more sustainable future.”

The Woolrich Outdoor Foundation plans to donate 50 percent cash and the remaining 50 percent in product, volunteer hours, services, or advertising and communications activities, as the overall contribution will be no less than $3 million over the first three years.

"For almost 200 years, the natural world has served as the Woolrich brand’s enduring inspiration. Now, it plans to spend the next 200 years playing its part as an environmental steward and protector," the company added.
