WHO

Unapologetically brimming with big dick energy, the proud Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion spits rhymes about sex, pimpin’ and female empowerment in equal measure, all the while exploring different alter egos and juggling Health Administration studies at Texas Southern University.

Owing her artist name to her impressive stature (she’s 5’10”), the emcee’s ascent to rap stardom started with a rooftop cypher over Drake’s “4pm In Calabasas” back in 2016, which went viral. Her “Stalli Freestyle” in 2017 also proved to be viral material – racking up 4 million views on YouTube to date – and she continued to amass a social media following by posting her freestyles on Instagram, dubbing her fanbase “the Hotties.”

In 2018 she released the lauded Tina Snow EP, named after one of her many alter-egos and inspired by Pimp C’s alter ego, Tony Snow, establishing her as one of the hottest new artists on the scene with millions of plays across all platforms. It resulted in a signing with 300 Entertainment – the label behind Young Thug and Migos – as the first female rapper on the label.

Megan can take the credit for viral crazes like the Big Ole Freak twerking challenge blazing through the internet in 2018, and the hot girl summer meme of 2019 flooding feeds with everyone from Miley, to Jada Pinkett to Nike posting about a “hot girl summer.”

This was supported by her first full-length project, Fever, and the “Hot Girl Summer” track featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. In September 2019 she also joined Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation for management.
